Connect to Xbox Live Using Your Windows 7 PC Wireless Card

Connect to Xbox Live Using Your PC Wireless Card

Do you have an xbox 360 that does not have wireless capability?
Do you have a pc that connects to you're router wirelessly?

Then this Guide is for you.

Method for Windows 7:

Go to "Control Panel",

Click on "View Network Status and Tasks",

In the left side panel, click on "Change Adapter Settings",

Right click on your wireless network connection and go to the properties link,

Click on the tab at the top marked "Sharing",

Make sure the box next to "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" is checked,

Click ok and then close out the network connections window,

Get an ethernet cable and connect one end to the ethernet port on your pc and the other end to your xbox,

Turn on the xbox if not already powered on,

If it doesn't connect to xbox live as soon as you sign your xbox live enabled profile in go to the system settings and go to the network settings, then go to wired connection and test network connection.

If it is still not connecting feel free to post here and ask for help, I have used this method on my windows 7 64 bit laptop, I have not tryed it on 32 bit. I have also used it on Xp, the method is the same on Xp but I have not included how to do it step by step on Xp because I no longer have it installed, if you guys think it would be of use to post an Xp guide then I will install to vmware and do it step by step for you, but I don't feel it's necessary.
