X-Treme Perl Script Tutorial (Detailed)
Today im going to show you how to setup the X-Treme Dos Script for your VPS (Virtual Private Server) using your SSH Client or Putty
Okay first off your going to have to download "Putty" im sure you all know what this is so im not going to bother explaining it.
- Download "Putty" HERE
When you purchase your VPS, which you can find one for as little as $5-$10 per month, be sure that you have a Centos Operating System because thats what this tutorial is used for. You can use other operating systems, but im showing you how to do it on a Centos based OS.
Third thing you are going to want to do, is Download an FTP client which is your file manager for any VPS. There a few out there and i find it best to use one of the two.
[/size] -Filezilla which you can download HERE
-or WinSCP which you can download HERE
Now the Last thing you are going to have to download is the Ddos Script itself (X-Treme Script) that you are going to upload to your VPS data base.
- you can Download it HERE
If for some reason the link is no good anymore, please just PM me for a new link.
Now that we got all the boring downloading out of the way, lets begin phase one of the compiling.
Once you have gotten your VPS Ip address and your Root/Password information go ahead and login via your SSH/Telnet program or "Putty".
Insert your servers IP address in where it says "Host Name or IP Address"
- Example: 10.0.0.1
And Hit Enter or "Open"
Now when the screen prompts you and asks you what your login is you are going to type "root". Now that is case sensitive so make sure its lower case.
Now do the same thing with the password. Type in the password or root pass, that your VPS hosting company gave you
- For example: ad3524a02
Now after you have logged in correctly via Putty you are going to type the following command and hit enter. Pretty much its installing a Perl script on your VPS data base
- Type: "yum install perl" (without Parenths) This Process should take a couple minutes.
After that is all done compiling you are going to minimize your Putty or SSH client we will get to that later.
Now we are going to open our FTP client whether it was FileZilla or WinSCP, and login pretty much the same way you logged into your Putty.
Now Minimize that screen as well and your going to have to find your "X-Treme" script that you downloaded, my suggestion is to unzip the rar file and put it in a folder on your desktop that way its easy to access when your in the FTP client.
Once its all done and unzipped go back to your FTP client and what your going to do is find the X-Treme script folder on your desktop and open it up so that you are viewing all the files inside the folder. Now all your going to do is select all the files and drag them over into your VPS.
Now that you have all the files transfered over into your VPS your going to have to re-highlight them all, Right Click & Go to Properties, and change the file permissions to "777" like so:
Now the last thing that you have to do is go back into Putty and type "./Config" (without parentheses) and your prompt screen should come up like the picture shown at the top of the page and thats all!
Now all thats left to do is try it out on some skiddies on XBL or something lol. I hope this tutorial helped some people out, and im sure its been posted before but maybe mine was a little more detailed for you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me and i will help you out in any way i can.
