Megaupload Is Back! Kim Dot Com Returns With MEGA
Exactly one year (to the day) after the very popular file-sharing
site Megaupload was seized by the Department of Homeland Security and
Immigrations And Customs Enforcement, founder Kim Dot Com has vowed to
bring the site back, bigger and better.
MEGA has officially launched today and free users can enjoy 50GB of storage, with hopes of restoring old files to past users, as well as granting old premium users with their account back. The new service vows to provide “easy privacy”, an “online Mega manager”, a “live global cloud file system,” and “multi-centric data warehousing.”
As of 11:08am PST, there are more than 100,000 registered users already (in the one hour of going live), with many more signing up by the minute. Good luck getting on the site, because it is literally being bombarded as we type.
