Idea 4G service now available across 102 towns in Kerala

Idea Cellular has expanded its 4G network to 102 towns in Kerala. The operator had started 4G LTE services in Kerala only 4 months back with Kochi, Malappuram and Kozhikode.

Idea has surpassed its peers Vodafone and Airtel whose 4G services are limited to few cities in the circle. With its 4G service now covering 102 towns, Idea has the largest 4G network in Kerala. Idea already has the widest 3G network  in the circle has further made it position strong as the market leader.

Idea has been heavily investing in 4G network expansion and recently added 84 more towns in AP and Telangana with 4g service. Idea 4G network is now available in 1,327 towns across 10 circles where it has 4G spectrum which is comparable to PAN India 4G operator Bharti Airtel’s 4G coverage. Idea currently have 680,000 customers actively using its 4G LTE services till March 31, 2016.

Idea had recently withdrawn double data on 4G plans which was introduced at the time of 4G launch as special offer. With the vast 4G & 3G network, Idea is better positioned against its rivals Vodafone and Airtel who are struggling with limited 4G & 3G network in the circle.
