Apple watch to be released in India in Feb 2015

Although Apple has not revealed the launch date of its Apple Watch, reports have surfaced that the company's first smartwatch will be released in India in February.

 

 

 According to reports, Apple is bullish about the Indian market, after market studies revealed that the Apple Watch has the potential to become a bestseller in India like the iPhone and the iPad. Two senior executives associated with the company have stated that the tech giant has already hired Indian developers to create apps for the device and is firming up for the launch. Apple recently released WatchKit development kit for developers to create apps for the wearable device.

"Apple is bullish about the success of the Apple Watch in India since it already has a base of more than 4 million iPhone and iPad users who are initially the potential target," said one of the executives.

Earlier, an Apple spokesperson had stated that the Apple Watch will be launched globally in early 2015. The Apple Watch is expected to be priced between Rs. 28,000 - Rs. 35,000, which will be more than the cost of wearable products sold by rivals Samsung and Sony. The wearable will be compatible with the iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, 6 and 6 Plus which run on the latest Apple iOS 8.

"At such a price point and limited reach only to latest iPhone users, the volume uptake will surely be small, but the Apple Watch launch will boost the awareness of smart wearables as a product category and make it a buzzword in India like Apple iPad did to tablets as a product category four years ago," said Counterpoint Research senior analyst (devices and ecosystem) Tarun Pathak.

According to Counterpoint Research, India's wearables market will get a boost next year after the launch of the Apple Watch. This year only 1 lakh wearable were shipped in the country but this number is expected to increase five times next year. The research firm adds that apart from Apple, other new vendors will launch affordable smart wearable products next year that will give a big push to the market.

Google Australia pays tribute to Phil Hughes with Doodle

 

Google Australia has come out with a Doodle, paying respects to Australian cricketer Phil Hughes. The cricketer died yesterday due to a head injury caused by a bouncer during a Sheffield shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SSG).

The Google Doodle put up by Google Australia shows a bat rested on a wall. A social media campaign, #putoutyourbats, in honor of the late cricketer, has also sprung up on Twitter. Phil Hughes represented the Australian National team in 26 test matches.

 

 

The 25 year old cricketer, was attempting to play a pull shot when a bouncer from pacer Sean Abbott hit him on the back of his skull. Phil Hughes collapsed on the field and was rushed to a hospital where he underwent surgery. But despite many efforts of the doctors, the cricketer was not able to recover and succumbed to his injury.

How To Clone A Website

There are a number of reasons why you might want to clone a site - whether you want to keep all the information off an interesting site, learn more about how a website is organised / to find hidden data on the site like passwords/email addresses, or for more malicious purposes like phishing and social engineering.

We can use a program called HTTrack (http://www.httrack.com/) to save a local clone of an entire website. HTTrack is available on windows, linux and even android. It is free to download from here:

Download the installer or standalone version from the link. To be consistent with the other tutorials, here is an alternate method of installation for Kali linux:

Navigate to "System Tools" > "Add/Remove Software".
Search for "httrack".

Using the GUI (on windows):
1) Run WinHTTrack. Click "Next", Give the project a name and browse to the location you want to store the project in:

2) Then click "Next" again, Make sure "Download website" is chosen and add the address to the address box:

If you are using a proxy server, you can set the proxy settings by clicking "settings".

3)Then click "Next", and then "Finish". The website will then be cloned, and you can then close HTTrack.

The cloned website will be in a subfolder named after the project, inside the root folder you selected. HTTrack will also have made an "index.html" file to give you an index to all the websites you have cloned so far with it. You can now use the files as you please!

Linux Command Line Usage:

The basic template command looks like this:

No more than a few weeks back, we talked about a video in which the Sony Xperia Z1, Z2 and Z3 were running an AOSP build of Android 5.0 Lollipop. It didn’t take long for them to deliver a device tree and the unified kernel that can be used to compile a ROM on your own build machines.

 

 

The provided source is enough to compile a ROM and boot it, but the ROM itself isn’t ready to become a daily driver. Some crucial things like RIL and camera were broken. XDA Recognized Developer and Contributor krabappel2548 focused on providing the most stable AOSP ROM for the Sony Xperia Z3, and in doing so, they managed to fix multiple software issues like WiFi, calls, and texting (sort of). While this ROM is still an early preview of how Android 5.0 will feel on the Sony Xperia Z3, it’s definitely a good start for the developers to get all the bugs sorted out.

The ROM is distributed as a collection of fastboot images, so be sure that you have your USB cable in close proximity. To flash it, follow the instructions provided in the thread and Android development page.

* 1st: We will accelerate the start of firefox :
Right click on you firefox shortcut ( it works just on the shortcut ) and go to properties, after , on target, add this " /Prefetch:1 " at the end ( you will have something like this "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /Prefetch:1 " ) dont forget the space before /Prefetch:1

* 2nd: We will increase the speed of loading pages :
In the address bar of Firefox, type " about: config " then press enter. After search using filter the following values :
- network.dns.disableIPv6
- network.http.pipelining
- network.http.proxy.pipelining
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
and by double clicking on values :
- set "network.dns.disableIPv6" to "true" ,
- set “network.http.pipelining” to “true” ,
- Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true” and ,
- Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 9 ( this means it will make 9 requests at once) you can make 30 or 100, but the network administrators do not like it too )

* 3rd: Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″ ( this value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.)

* 4th: We will create values to optimize the rendering and loading of pages:
- Right-click anywhere and select New-> Channel. Name it "content.notify.backoffcount" and set it's value to "five 5"
- Right-click anywhere and select New-> Channel. Name it "ui.submenuDelay" and set it's value to " 0"

- Search the channel named "plugin.expose_full_path" and set it to "true"

* 5th: The last one , we wxill disble caching of recent pages visited:
- search the channel named " browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers" and set it to "0"
- Right-click anywhere and select New-> Channel. Name it "browser.cache.memory.capacity" and set it's value to "0"

And then, restart Firefox to take into account the new settings.

Then select if you want to backup app data as well. In a couple of seconds, the app file will be copied over.You can now uninstall the app if you want.

How To Restore Apps
Restoring backed up apps is easy and you can do it in batches as well. From the same Apps screen, select Copy To Device and select any number of backed up apps you have.
They will be installed one by one.
