Motorola has finally ended Flipkart’s exclusivity over its Moto E (Gen 2) range of smartphones. In the latest development, the company has collaborated with Flipkart’s rival companies, Amazon and Snapdeal. Not just that, the company will be selling the device via offline channels as well, and in a bid to move the plan, Motorola has partnered with Brightstar for future distribution across India.

Users can now buy the Moto E (Gen 2) 3G and 4G LTE variants via online stores (Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon) and offline stores such as selected Airtel outlets around the country. Online stores will start listing the Moto E 3G/4G LTE from September 25, and Flipkart will continue selling the device as well.

Motorola recently unveiled new range of devices such as the Moto X Play and Moto G (Gen 3) in India, and there is a possibility that the company might follow the similar strategy with these devices as well. Moreover, Motorola is also working on bringing the Moto Maker service to India, although, the company has not revealed a timeline for the same. The Asus Zenfone Go features an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Under this offer, the customers who have applied for a new landline connection in Mumbai before August 31 can avail broadband services for absolutely free for the period of one month.

The state-run operator has also waived off the one-time installation and testing charges of Rs. 200 as well as the upfront charges of Rs. 100 for the modem. The LG Class features a powerful loudspeaker, which has a power of 1Watt and delivers clear sound output. The phone measures 142 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm, weighs 147 grams, and is just 7.4 mm thick. Treading the same path as LG’s G series, this one too has power button and volume controller on the rear. The smartphone will be available in Blue Black, Gold, and Silver color options, at a price tag of 399300 Won (US$ 340 / Rs. 22,475 approx.) The device will go on sale in Korea from today onwards. LG has not revealed much about Class’s availability outside Korea, but we hope that the company might launch it in other regions as well.

OnePlus has initiated the roll out of Oxygen OS 2.1.0 OTA update for the OnePlus 2. The company promised the users with this update a month ago and today, it finally pushed it. The update is being rolled out globally, and it is 39MB in size.

The update 2.1.0 is going to get a variety of features and fixes on board, which includes Exchange support, functional improvements, a manual mode for the camera. It also brings along RAW support for third-party camera apps, although many users have reported that it is still not supporting it fully. Following the complaints regarding RAW support, OnePlus has affirmed users that it will try to fix the issue soon.

Moreover, the update also aims to fix the Telephony service issue, which used to cause lag while turning on/off Airplane mode. OnePlus 2 received the Oxygen OS 2.0 OTA update last month, which brought improvement fixes for fingerprint recognition.

Micromax has unveiled an affordable 3G smartphone in India, named as the Canvas Spark 2. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 3,999 and is exclusively up for purchase on Snapdeal via flash sale, which will be held on September 30 at 12 PM. The registrations for the flash sale will open on September 23 at 10 AM.

The smartphone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 768MB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via micros card. In the imaging department, the device sports a 5-megapixel fixed-focus primary camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Canvas Spark 2 supports connectivity features such as dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-F, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and is backed by a 1,800 mAh battery.

Xiaomi announces Mi 4c with 5-inch display, USB Type-C connector, 13MP primary camera

Xiaomi has taken the wraps off the Mi 4c, today at an event in China. The device will be available in two variants, 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage, and 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit processor. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 7 OS on top. The phone sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, phase-detection auto focus, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, along with an 85-degree wide-angle 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It comes with dual-SIM, 4G LTE support, and features a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi will be selling a USB Type-C to micro USB adapter to go with the device. Other connectivity options include an Infrared sensor, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. There is a 3,080 mAh non-removable battery, which comes with paired with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The Xiaomi Mi 4c will be available in Blue, White, Pink, and Yellow color options for a price of 1,299 Yuan ( US$ 204 / Rs. 13,370 approx.) for the 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage variant and 1,499 Yuan ( US$ 235 / Rs. 15,445 approx.) for the 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage variant.

As of now, Xiaomi has no revealed much regarding the device’s pricing and availability in regions outside China. The Mi 4c is set to go on sale in China starting from September 23.
