Apple iPhone 6S to feature Force Touch technology from the Apple Watch
Apple had everybody’s attention when it showcased the Force Touch and haptic feedback technology for the display on the Apple Watch. You could do different things by pressing the screen with different amounts of pressures. This then went on to become a part of the company’s Macbook as well. Apple seems to be working on bringing the same technology to the iPhone 6S, which is expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2015.
Force Touch, even though useful, is quite difficult to master. Just
to put things into perspective, it allows to fast-forward videos if you
press a little harder but you don’t know as to how much the Force Touch
will forward the video. The word on the street is that only power users
are being targeted with the Force Touch as it won’t be necessity to
master it in order to properly use the smartphone.
The upcoming iOS 9, and various upcoming apps will accommodate this
new touch technology. The initial reports suggest that features such as a
dictionary could pop up upon using the Force Touch. As of now, you need
to select the entire word and then press define to look up a word’s
meaning. The other addition that Apple is working on is revamping the
iOS 8 shift key which currently has quite a confusing position between
being on or off. The keyboard will be tweaked as well.
